Car rental for Roadtrip from MIAMI to TALLAHASSEE... HELP !!?

My boyfriend and I are planning on taking a little roadtrip from Miami to Tallahassee in a couple of weeks to check out FSU. He's 20 and I'm 19, will a reputable car rental place allow us to rent a car from them being that we're both under 21? We both have our liscenses and good driving records, insurance etc. would that work?

if so, what would be a good (and realllly cheap) car rental agency?

we really rather not take our cars so that we don't rack them up with excess miles. It would be only a 2 night/3 day weekend trip.

Can we rent a car or not? Any tips? Recommendations?

THANKSS

  1. I think 26 is year where rental companies will allow their vehicles to be rented.  It may be 21 but I am not sure.

You will have hard time finding the inexpensive company that will rent you a car, due to the ages.  The reason, they feared that you'll abuse their vehicle and at this age insurance companies does not cover rental.

If you have family members whos over the age and they can trust you.  You maybe able to get it at a decent price.  My personal rental are "Buget rental" and " Avis" they seem to be reasonable.

    Good luck

  2. It depends on the agency of whether you will be allowed to rent or not. Most companies have a non negotiable age requirement of 25. However if you would be allowed to rent you will most likely be accessed a  younger driver's surcharge.
