  1. The green stuff is coolant. your leak is probably not what you had repaired, but something else. Probably minor. Just don't let it get over heated, you could do some major damage, could be a heater hose if it's near the back. Pay no attention to that other guy. I'd love to have a decent Cadillac myself. I've had a few Lincoln's and liked them too.Start it up while it's full on coolant with the hood up and as it gets warmed up you'l most likely will see where it's coming from. Good Luck!

  2. Your friendly Mr. Goodwrench, loosing a head bolt in the rear of the engine. This will not only give you a tremendous amount of steam, due to the coolant running onn the exhaust crossover pipe, but the GREEN fluid, is straight antifreeeze. The antifreeze, is pouring out of the water jacket, do to the loose head bolt that your mechanic loosiened.

By him doing this to your engine, it will cause the engine to overheat, and rmember, the heads on that engine are aluminum, and worp very, very easy. Save yourself a big bill, take that car to a CADDILAC dealer, and explain what has happened, and they will fix it right, and be done with it.GOOD LUCK !!!

  3. Yeah, it sounds like a problem with a hose! maybe clamps didn't get tightened, or an old hose busted. Hoses  are here, put in you zip to check prices!

  4. Any older American car will be troublesome.  Either sell it for something newer or find yourself an excellent mechanic who you will bond with and become close friends with because you will see him at least once a week.

  5. heater hoses are at the back of the engine and you propably have a leak in one of them

  6. it could be a hose, i would take it back to where the water pump was done and let them go trough it.

i agree with you bout the American cars. if you dont like them move out of the country. sure i drive a honda but my other car is a '68 goat, just looking for parts on that one.

  7. hey meachanic aren't perfect take it back ,if you saw coolant.they could of over looked something like a gasket.and if that is the case.they are obligated by law ,to repair it, at no cost to you.

  8. check the water level in the radiator when the engine is cool,i recon that you have a hose or connection ,neading tightining up...........

  9. very bad

  10. Take a flashlight and try to find where the leak is coming from. Look at the heater hoses, the plugs in the engine block, the water pump and the radiator and hoses. When the engine is cool, refill the radiator. You may have to run the engine to get it to leak again, so be careful if you do. You might consider taking the car back to where you had the water pump replaced and see if it could be a bad seal on it. Good luck.
