Car smoking from catalytic converter please help!!

i have a 94 Geo prism lsi. my boyfriend changed the brakes yesterday when i first drove it it made a clunk noise when i came to a complete stop but it only did it twice today when i drove it i noticed a noise coming from the muffler when i got home i look underneath and the catalytic converter was smoking and the underneath of the car was wet like something was leaking what could this be from im not sure if changing the brakes has anything to do with it or not

  1. you probably got a beaver stuck in between your tires


  2. changing the brakes didn't cause that too happen to it,you got a converter going bad or something is clogging it,take it by any muffler shop and have then check it those should never smoke like that,especially none of those cars,and not from changing the brakes not unless he got brake fluid on the converter,good luck.

  3. its nothing to do with brakes

    wetting is due to condensation

    smoke is just water vapor

  4. most likely not  chances are there may be a leaf or trash or some thing
