Am I crazy, or does my 08 Honda CRV adjusts the car stereo volume as I speed up or slow down? It seems to me like it does, although my husband doesn't hear what I hear. Does anyone know if car stereos do this?

  1. A lot of car stereos do that. It's just compensating for road noise.

  2. it can do that, may want to invest in a better alternator?

  3. No you are not crazy and yes it is true some newer vehicles adjust volume to compensate for road noise.

  4. My 05 Focus factory radio does that as well. There is a way to change the setting of it. the manual will tell you how if it is possible or not.

  5. Speed-controlled volume is a very common feature on factory radios.  Check your owner's manual; there's probably a way to turn the feature off if it annoys you.
