  1. THE REMOTE WIRE ON THE CD PLAYER IS BLUE THE YELLOW WIRE IS THE MEMORY WIRE.THE MEMORY WIRE IS TO KEEP THE CLOCK RIGHT AND SO IF YOU ARE LISTENING TO A SONG THEN TURN THE CAR OFF AND TURN IS BACK ON THE SAME SONG YOU WAS LISTENING TO WILL COME BACK ON WHEN YOU TURN THE CAR BACK ON

  2. If you have the amp remote wire hooked to the yellow wire on the harness then you are constantly feeding power to the amp, because the yellow wire usually has constant power for the radio so you don't loose the clock and preset radio stations.

You should have a remote wire on your new radio, you need to hook the remote wire for the amp to that wire.

  3. yes you need to make sure that the amp is hooked up on the remote wire of the radio.  The remote wire only gives power to the switch of the amp for the amp to be able to turn on.  If you feeding a constant live wire to the remote then the switch can not be broken to shut the amp off.  hope this helps.
