  1. haven't really dabbled in amps in a while but i can recommend some pointers on a good radio. first off you should look for something that is either hd ready or hd. then as far as deciding whether to go with sirus satellite or xm satellite don't worry.  xm just finished buying sirus and the merger will be final some time in the fall so which ever one you get will work with the other. as far as bluetooth goes its kinda nice to answer your phone without having to take your hands off the steering wheel. also its good for transferring your music via bluetooth. i happen to think that jensen makes a pretty sweet navigation system for the money but i think that the pioneer system is much more user friendly although much more expensive.

    good luck

  2. if u want a well built amp that will last for years the rockford fosgate punch amps are the best plus they push more then what they say jl amps are good to but to da*n pricy you will be very please with rockford

  3. Anything CEA COMPLIANT.

Having a cea compliant amp means it puts out the power it says it does.

    Buying lets say, a 1600RMS x1 @ 2-ohm amp non-cea compliant it may only produce 900RMS.

Buying a 1600RMS x1 @ 2-ohm cea compliant amp means it puts out 1600RMS or more.

My Rockford Fosgate Punch 325.1 amp is rated at 325RMS x1 @ 2-ohm. The cea compliant test sheet test results show its underrated and puts out 404RMS x1 @ 2-ohm.

Look for the cea compliant amps always and only. You never know how much your really getting with junky amps.

Some names to look at being cea and quite common and available almost anywhere are:

    Alpine

    Kicker

    Rockford Fosgate

    JL Audio

Sony(yeah sony makes lots of cea stuff)

    Pioneer(some)

These are the most common I can think of but there's much more cea compliant products out there.

  4. Stay away from the Valor Amp,it sucks..go with better name brands as listed above.

  5. To go with what Joe has thus far.

Avoid Sony like it is the plague, their stuff maybe CEA-2006 compliant, but that does not mean that they have quality stuff. Their car audio equipment just plain sucks, they should stop making car audio products period.

Other amps to consider that are CEA-2006 Compliant

JL is just way over priced for anything that they make.

    HI-Fonics

    MB Quart

    Crunch

    US AMPS

    Elemental Designs

That is to name a few.

  6. I have never heard of that amp. I would go with the jl audio amps if u like good quality sound, but its expensive. the hifonics amps are also good quality amps  and are alot cheaper then the jl audio.
