Car stereo problem. I have a jensen cd4610 that I was trying to install in my 87 pymoth caravell.

Question

I have a jensen cd4610 that I was trying to install in my 87 pymoth caravell. The yellow wire touched the metal frame inside the dash and sparked and now the player doesnt work. It is not the cd player though because right after that i hooked it up in another car and it works perfect. For some reason it does not turn on in this car all it does when you turn the car on a little red light on the cd player turns on indicating it has power. I replaced the fuse behind the cd player and on the left of the cd player by all the other fuses just to make sure but still it doesnt want to turn on. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks
