Car stereo system, powering two kicker 15" L7s.?

hi im after some advice, im currently buying my first hardcore car system. so far i have two kicker L7s in seperate boxex, these run at 1000w rms each, also i have a good 2500w rms amp to power them and a 4 fared cap and 6x9s and a good head unit. what i would like to know is do i really need to upgrade my battery and alternator? how important is this? will the system work without doing this? my car is a vauxhall calibra v6.

you really dont need to change the alt unless you are planning to make this a competition car. i dont know why people always say you do. anyways a cap will do you just fine. look at a 4 farad. you could do without but it will help your alternator out and keep you lights from dimming
