Question:

Car subwoofer for Home Theater?

I understand that our home amplifier works on 8 ohms whereas the subwoofers are 4ohms. If I connect two subs in series, it would total upto 8ohms. Is that workable?

  1. don't even think about it. different acoustics just to begin with.

    buy a separate sub for your car. and vice-versa.


  2. It will work much better than a home theater sub. The rubber that is used to built for a car sub is more thicker and will create a better sound. Just get a separate amp for it buy a dj amp for DJ amps add more UMPH to it contact me if you need help choosing the right one. Just have your sub specs ready!!A

    PS You don't get Acoustics from a sub/bass speaker you get that from tweeters and that sort of horn style
