  1. first off never pay attention to your maximum wattage, chances are that you'll never reach it. provide more details such as the rms rating, brand etc. of your amplifier. from my experience tho, you'd want to go with pioneer over sony. i hate sony for car audio, atleast in subwoofers. definately go ported on your box, if spl is your main focus.

  2. it ur personal prefence me ill stay with my xplods pioneer was good in its day but i dont like them anymore basically either one is made over seas u pick the brand and what looks best 4 u

  3. I've had good luck with Xplode subs (the pentagon shaped ones, the round ones are complete junk).

    Peak wattage is unimportant,

RMS wattage for the Xplode P5's is 330 for 10's and 380 for 12's.

RMS for that amp is probably around 400.

  4. like the last guy said.  Max wattage doesn't tell you anything.  RMS is what it really runs at.  Buy an amp with a little more RMS wattage than your subs so you can run it at 3/4 gain to prevent overheating.  I wouldn't buy either of those, I'd go with the Memphis Mojos or high end fosgate.  And based on what you're running vented boxes put out higher spl than ported.
