Car tax and changed address

ive changed address wiv a mate we done an exchange i aint got round to letting dvla know yet my car tax is due at the end of the month can i still get it or not or do they need to no my new address

You need to let them know  you have changed your address.

Have a look on line you might be able to change it.

Your reminder will go to your old address but you can still get new tax disc.  I moved house a few months ago and reminder came to my house as post office re-directed it and i just got it done on internet.  Have not told DVLA i have moved.

Does not matter what your address is as they only want to tax your car.  However if your address is wrong on your license you can receive a huge fine - £1000 i think!!!

You do need to change address for your insurance though - if you are in accident with new address they may say you are not covered as not all your details are correct!
