Car tax reminder??????

my tax ends on the 31st and i havent had my reminder yet,was i suppose to????i havent taxed my car before cos ive only had it since feb this year so how do i do it??

You can obtain the forms from a Post Office. fill the form in and post it off.

You can tax it on line without a SORN form as you can use a reference number from your registration document.

But this won't work if the DVLA's records on your car aren't up to date so then you have to take your reg doc insurance cert and MOT to the post office to do it

Remember its an offence not to display a valid tax disc even if its not your fault you haven't got one.

You  can do it online now - at least my partner did last week

Easiest way to do it is on line.

DVLA have records of your car, Insurance and MOT so just sign in to their site and get it over the net.

You will receive the reminder so don't panic. You do not need a reminder to re-tax your car at a Post Office.

edit; you will only be able to re-tax your car on line or by phone if you have the reminder as you will be asked for the number on the reminder.
