Ok, heres the deal, i currently have a 2003 jeep liberty i am looking to trade in on a more fuel effecient vehicle. The blue book value of it is $9000, and i still have a loan out on it. What should i expect the dealership to offer me when i bring it in?

  1. I don't know where you got your value of $9k, blue book shows trade in value of $4,800, and since blue book is always a bit optimistic, you might get $4,000 in trade.

    How much is left on your loan?  It more than that, I'd forget it.


  2. You need be cautious when going to sell your ride to a dealership.  If you are not sure of the value then you can get really ripped off.



    Dont be suprised if a dealership makes a low offer. It's not hard to get a estimate online to see how much your car is going to fetch.  I have recommended http://tradein.123thebest.info - Good luck.

  3. Probably closer to 7000.  Remember, the people at kelly blue book arent the ones writing the check, so vehicles that arent as fuel efficient arent selling.
