Car warning lights?

ok, there's a light that comes on it's of a car and it looks like it's swerving or has skid marks behind it.. what does it mean. my car's gone to be fixed but i'd love to know what it means..

its probably the traction control or abs system going to work

there are cars that tell you when the road is icy or has bad weather.  did the light stay on at all times? or did it go off also? if thats the case, id be willing to bet that it's a road hazard light.
