Car window tinting removel?

Question

i recently bought a car with a "homedone" window tint its all bubbly and crappy and i wish to remove it, it seems stuck pretty hard and i dont feel confident to use a razor please help

Hi,

I work at a tint shop in Victoria. You will need a steam gun. Put the steam over the inside of the window where the tint was stuck and peel it away. There will be glue residue left on the window, so you will need to remove it with a scraper blade and water. After this, clean it with metho, then windex. And don't be afraid to use a scraper blade, they are made for glass and it won't scratch UNLESS it is blunt. If you can't be bothered, just go to your local tint shop and they will charge you about $50 to remove it. Hope I have helped!

you will have to use a razor blade to remove the film. however at menards they have razor blade holders to prevent you from cutting yourself. usually its the hand your not using that will get cut. so watch the hand your not using and keep it away from the movement of the blade just in case it slips.use goo removal at menards this contains xylene. this will remove the adhesive from the window. use sparringly and use it as you remove the film from the glass window. danger !!! this solvent is very flammable and can remove paint, so keep it on the glass and wear neoprene gloves to keep it from soaking in your hands
