Car wont go into 2nd nd 3rd gear grinds at high RPM?

my car is hard to put into 2nd gear nd it grinds 3rd gear at a high RPM (past 4,000) some1 sadi to me the clutch lining, some1 eles said clutch fluid, the clutch its self, clutch bearings, and clutch its self

  1. Will it shift at lower rpms, if yes do that, 400RPM is alot for non racing.


  2. Clutch needs attention. FLUID,ADJUSTING,AND/OR BLEEDING.

    I'd fill,bleed, and then check.

  3. check your fluid but i bet your clutch is toast. do you drive a lot with your foot resting on the clutch? that will do it. don't waste your time replacing clutch parts just get a new clutch if the fluid is good but usually thw whole car will run like c**p ifit is the fluid not just a few gears

  4. check the clutch quick other wise your gonna eat the gears and need a new tranny. whats happenin is that the clutch dosent let go of the flywheel and it still spins so the tranny has to force into gear and its not good to do.

  5. I would say in the transmission itself, any not going into one gear is either the linkage or the internal transmission check the linkages but if you pull out the trans replace the clutch while you are there
