  1. This is a both a chemistry and biology question. Carbohydrates are formed in many levels of complexity because the nature of carbon allows it to chemically bond with itself, forming long chains. When a food source is eaten, these chains can be broken down to simpler and simpler sugars through digestion and metabolism.

    So to answer, simple sugars don't become more complex, they are formed that way and then are broken down into simpler sugars.


  2. Well for soccer and running it really keeps you awake and healthy, my coaches always tell me to eat lots of foods that have them in them. Foods like noodles, and potatoes.
