Today i got a nice strong big plastic box from the council to put my empty bottles in when it came though I thought it had to be made, ordered, sent to the council and then the driver done a 8 mile round trip to deliver it.

so how many bottles will i have to recycle to make the box pay for it self

  1. That's called a lifecyle assessment, and well done for thinking about it. The container is made from recycled plastic itself and is supposed to be used permanently  - meaning there is no recycle/discarding stage in its life. So, the real question is how much environmental damage e.g. pollution did it take to make it to your house? I am not sure about that, but if you found out you could reduce your carbon emissions in other areas to compensate for the stages from its initial production to delivery on your doorstep.

  2. Sorry don't know.

  3. Who cares ? You're paying for it all.
