can anyone tell me what is the difference between a carbon nanotube and a CNTFET? or are they the same thing?

  1. CNT = carbon nanotube

    FET = field-effect transistor

    I can only guess that the CNTFET functions like a MOSFET (MOS = metal oxide semiconductor), but uses carbon nanotubes instead of metal pathways.

    In any case, the CNTFET will contain nanotubes, but it will be more complicated than a single nanotube.
