Card Counting.. Finding initial count KO system?

okay so lets say you're in a casino and you join a blackjack table thats in the middle of hand and is using 6 decks, how do you determine what the count is without waiting for the decks to be replaced?

  1. You can't start counting in the middle of a shoe. You must wait for a shuffle and start counting from the first card that comes out.


  2. You dont, thats just how it works, you are forced to wait for the shuffle.

    If you were using a balanced system, you may be able to ignore the first coupel hands of a large shoe if you missed them and still have a almost normal probibility of seing an edge, perhaps you could add to the count some number relevant to the unbalanced measure of the ko sytem relevant to the number of cards you missed, im not to familer with the ko system so im not sure what that number woudl be, but there is the ability to calculate it.

  3. You can't determine the count.  Since you have not seen the cards that have been discarded already, you have no way to know what cards remain in the deck.  Therefore you cannot know the count.

    Card counting is the method of tracking the cards that have already left the shoe to determine when the remaining cards are in the players favor and when they are in the dealers favor.
