  1. Use carpenters glue - 1400lbs per square inch holding power.

It's in your hardware store and it's yellow - takes 24 hours to dry, though.

  2. What about duct tape?

  3. hot glue or staples. You could get boxes in a variety of shapes and connect them from smallest to largest simply by their size holding them together. start with a stove box move up to a dresser box on to a refrigerator box, ect.. Furniture stores are more than happy for you to take them off their hands. Call ahead to find out what days they get their trucks in so that you can go and pick up the boxes. These boxes are so easy to fold down and re-use. Hours of fun.

  4. Try hot glue.

  5. What about velcro?

You can get a roll at many home improvement stores, I got mine at home depot. It holds well and you can easily disassemble and reassemble your cardboard 'house'.
