  1. My gosh yes. They are sticking a wire into your artery and going into the heart. I would hope that they would want to monitor you closely afterward to make sure that you aren't going to bleed or have a heart attack afterward.

If they weren't I would be questioning their credentials.

  2. Most certainly.  Anybody who tells you different does not know what they're talking about.  That was my job for several years - and I've had the procedure, too!

  3. By all means this is normal for sure.  Following the procedure which should take approximately one hour at the most you will be returned to a cardiac telemetry unit so that the nursing staff can monitor your heart to watch for any heart rhythm changes as well as monitor your blood pressure following the procedure.  As with any medical test in to days society there are always risks associated with such tests.

It is important to take control and prevent and risks that will be associated with such tests.

I have included a link below so you can read up about your procedure.  Also you will notice pictures and media content as well so that you can actually see the procedure.

I hope that everything goes well and I hope that this will be useful.

  4. Yes they want to make sure everything is ok and  that you don't have any problems like bleeding or chest pains ect .
