  3. The answer is C. A is not correct because the walls of blood vessels contains smooth muscle, not cardiac muscle. Cardiac muscle is found uniquely in the heart. B is not correct because it is definitely not under voluntary control. D is not correct because cardiac muscle is designed to contract on its own, without stimulation by the nervous system if need be. E is wrong because it is definitely affected by hormones.
