  1. Not easy to find any landlords who accept DSS tenants, but you could try contacting the council and asking for list of landlords as they will often list letting agencies and landlords who accept DSS.

The person above obviously has never tried to get council or housing association housing in Cardiff - ie its impossible!  You'd be on a waiting list for 10 years.  Private Landlords are the only option these days, sadly.

Cardiff has loads of letting agents as its a student city so you should be able to find somewhere.

    Try some of these links:

  2. best way to tackle it is to get a job and not have me pay for your flat.

Or if you're really in that position, then well contact the council... why are you relying on dss when you have internet, and a roof over your head... ????

  3. You should contact the Council, as you would be better provided for by them, rather than trying to get somewhere with a private landlord. There are also housing associations which rent to dss people. Contact your local Citizens Advice bureau, who would have a list you could use.

  4. Hi there,

Try Keylet, they don't need an employers reference.

    Their details are:

    1b Mundy Place, Cathays, Cardiff, CF24 4BZ

    Telephone

    (029) 20 38 8399

    Hope it helps, good luck

  5. try  www.rightmove.com

  6. if your living in a hostel they'll be able to help you!

ask the hostel staff, they probably have contacts in the government/council and will at least be able to point you in the right direction! good luck! i hope everything works out ok for you! xx
