Cardinal fans, do you miss Edmonds?

I kind of do, he was always one of my favorites. Although I am glad we traded him and some of the other older guys away for fresh, new players, I still miss him. I'm happy for him though, that he's still playing and doing well. So what about you fellow Cardinal fans? Do you miss him? Why or why not?

  1. I miss him but I think it was the best for the Cardinals to trade him. He had a great career while he was with and will always be loved by Cardinals fans. And even through he had a couple of injury filled years he has started looking like the old Jimmy Edmonds we all know and love with the Cubbies.

Good Luck the rest of the season Jim(except against the Cardinals.lol.)

  2. i miss the great moments he gave St. Louis for sure, but im happy he's still playing even if it is in Chicago.  He was a great player and a postseason hero, but i think cardinal fans saw it coming, he was getting old and it was probably for the best for him to leave.

  3. It was always nice seeing him make great plays in center. He wasn't very productive in his last couple years in STL, and I think Ankiel could be Edmonds Jr. I'm happy to see he's playing well, but I just wish it was with another team.

  4. I'm sure most of the Cardinal fans do miss Jim Edmonds.  He is a super player.

Being a Cubbie fan, we had our doubts at first, not about his athletic prowess, but just the fact that he was a Cardinal in his other life!!!  He was a real threat when he played the Cubs.

Really tho, we are glad we've got him....offensively and defensively, he is super!!!!!

  5. I miss the OLD Jimmy Baseball...not so much the 2006-2007 Jimmy.  He is most definately the best centerfielder to ever don the Cardinals uniform, so of course he will be missed.  Ankiel has been producing both at the plate and in defense (Jimmy would have never made those two throws in Colorado earlier this year).  It was time for both him and the team to move on.  Hopefully the kid we got for him will pay dividends for us in the future!

Even though he is a Cubby now, I wish him nothing but the best.  h**l, I still go to his bar downtown.

  6. no way he is old

  7. Actually, I am glad the Cards traded Edmonds, because the Cubs have benefited greatly by him this season....

If I was a Cardinals fan, I would miss him, but he's getting old and sometimes you need some new players.
