Cardinals fans: Does this make since?

Question

Ok when you look at the Cardinals by stats they have the best infield and outfield (I'm talking about defence), thay have the best hitting percentage right now they are on fire (usually if Ankiel hits a home run they win, pujols wants that batting title, and ludwick has like 31 or so home runs), and they have Lohse, Wainright, and Carpenter (well he should be back again pretty soon). How could they be behind the Cubs and the Brewers? Is the bullpen so bad that it weighs them down?

No disrespect to the Cards, but the Brewers and the Cubs are just clicking right now.  The Cubs have been all season and the Brewers got the shot in the arm they needed with CC.  Lohse has been the ace this year and yes, the D and bats are solid, but there is a lack of strong pitching after him both in rotation and the bullpen.  I do think the Cards have done the best with what they have.

the cards are too preoccupied with getting individual tittles instead of the TEAM tittle the only one that counts in November, when its all said n done,..

the cubs r just playing team baseball, they r like the Fresno ST. Bulldogs doin what needs to be done to get a championship.

team play beats individual play any day.

Obviously, bad bullpens don't make playoff teams. However, the Cards have problems that include but aren't limited to, timely and consistent hitting and the fact that the Cubs and Brewers have a much better bullpen.

The bullpen is a big part of it.

Plus they've had some injuries with Wainwright this year which also hurt them.

If this was the Central of last year, then the Cardinals may very well be leading the division right now. The Cubs, Cardinals and Brewers are all solid teams this year though, too bad one of them has to be the odd one out. All three deserve a spot in the playoffs.

its timley hitting also not getting the hits at the right time

CC has been what the Brewers needed

We just cant get it done, honestly i didnt expect us to be anywhere near the top of even the wild card. I think we've done a great job this year and if our pitching staff can ever be rebuilt we will again dominate the NL Central.  

As for now, its the Brew Crews year,

It will be their job to make sure the Cubs Curse continues.
