Cardio workouts?

is jogging on the spot as effective as going for a normal run for a cardio workout? also anyone know any other decent cardio workouts? thanks alot

  1. Your using more muscles if you run outside than jogging on the spot.  Cardio workouts: cycling, swimming lanes (time your laps and try to go faster next lap), run hills, skipping rope, dragonboating, kickboxing, etc.  These are all effective cardio workouts.  Keep active and have fun!


  2. i gues that on the spot is good ............ but even better tie steaks to your but and go running past the local dog pounds .............. on their walkie days.......................... or ............or............or .........get abducted by aliens and run away from their lasers and guns............ or be a terrorrist for a day and see if you can outrun the FBI teee heeee that would be fun and you'd be famous ...... then blame it on me.........................................

  3. Time for time I would say no, half an hour running on the spot isnt as good a work out as half an hour running ona road, however if all you can fit in is running on the spot then its better than nothing.

    Other good cardio workouts you could try are:

    Running on the roads (cheap - only need shorts, Tshirt, and trainers)

    Power walking (same - Trainers and clothes)

    Cycling (a little expensive for kit - bike, helmet, glasses, and clothes)

    Swimming (Cheap for kit, but a few ££ each session)

    In the gym (relativly expensive - a few ££ a month, plus clothes and trainers) - loads of cardio machines and some might have a pool as well

    Hill walking (Need boots, clothes and a certain knowledge to do it safely)

    Football, hockey, ..... (cheap - kit and perhaps subs to join a club, plus social nights out)

    Loads of ideas you could try

  5. I was just tell a friend of mine to tie some meat to her waist and let the dogs go so she could pass her pt test.. lol =]
