i have been having problems with my kodak camera connecting to my comp and they have told me to use a cardreader what is that?

  1. Basically a device that you put the memory card in and connect it to your computer via usb. Here's an example of one offered at best buy. If you do get one make sure your memory card fits in as there are various shapes.

  2. it is a device that reads the memory card inside of your camera, without the need of using your camera. You take the memory card out of the camera, and put it in the card reader, which connects to the computer usually through a usb port, and copy the pictures to your pc. more info; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Card_reader

  3. A card reader is a USB reader that plugs into your computer and takes the card that is inside your camera. I'm not sure what type card you have but most readers are universal anyways here's one that is fairly common, it's a 12in1.

    Kodaks are usually SD I think which if so your card will look like this:

    ^ If so then make sure the reader you buy works with SD cards.
