Cards suprising you?

The St.Louis Cardinals just 2 games behind the Cubs who are just freefalling. What do you think the Cards chances are of taking over 1st place in the central is I mean they have won 5 straight and since the all star break they have be finding ever way possible to win games!! What the chance of the Cards?

I will say it & I have said it before, I think the Cardinals will overtake the Cubs eventually in the NL Central

Yes, they are surprising me.

While I disagree w/your "Cubs are free falling" theory, I do think the Cards can win the division and here is how.

The Cubs only play 9 home games in September and they struggle mightily on the road. While 13 of the Cards last 16 games are against below .500 teams.

ehh...The Cubs arent free falling and the Cardinals are hot but I have to believe that this is the closest they will get...I'm not really surprised though because they have good players  ESPN just doesnt pay any attention because they arent big names...but i think the Cubs will run away with the division before too long

Plus they are playing the Brewers next series and Milwuakee is hot too so I guess we will have to wait until the end of next series to see

Plus if you remember...the Cubs were only 3 games ahead and then they kept playing well and the Cardinals startied losing eventually being 5 1/2 games out  

So in all I dont think the Cardinals have that great of a shot at taking over 1st...I mean they were playing the Padres and their bullpen isnt good enough...the Cubs offense has been scuffling lately but I feel that they broke out of that 2day scoring 9 runs (5 in the 9th) against the Astros

So dont expect the Cardinals to get any closer

Yes there are. I knew th hitting could hold their own but the pitching staff has really stepped up and kept this team in the hunt.
