Care Package for a cruise...Ideas?

I want to surprise my boyfriend, we haven't been dating for more than a month yet, so I do not want to go overboard or seem like a psycho girlfriend, lol. I want to do something cute so he knows how much he means to me and that I miss him. He is going on a cruise and I want to make him a little box like a care package. I don't know what to put in it...maybe candy? Magazines? Letters? I need ideas that will make him smile when he opens it. Help!!

I did this for a boyfriend of mine who was going away for the Summer. We were in our 20's, tone my suggestion down if your younger than that.

While he was not looking, I placed a box in his bag. It had a red ribbon around it with a card that said "Open When you get there". Inside, I placed two pictures of myself wearing a present he bought me. (One clean picture to show his friend, one that he could look at in private ;-)Some candy that I know he loved. And finally, a pre-paid phone card that he could use to call me if he liked.

I hope this helps. He loved it!!!! His friends told me he could not stop talking about it.

Normally, if you know the booking number you can send him a package from the ship. they have all kinds of stuff like beach towels, gear, soda cards, drink cards, cakes fruit...u name it. go to the website of the cruise ship he will be on and check it out

-cute little 25 cent toys from the machine

-tshirt from his favorite band

-a cute note on a napkin

First, consider what he likes. Music? Reading? Whatever his interests seem to be, focus the package around that.

Some standard things that you could include are:

magazines

favorite candy

disposable camera

seasick medicine =D

cds (if he even has a cd player lol - most people don't seem to  anymore)

phone card

sunscreen (if he's going somewhere tropical or something)

picture of you with a cute card

Is there anything that you can think of that may specifically relate to the place(s) he's going to?

And depending on his personality, he may enjoy some random little knick knacks or something...like, I dunno, when I went to Catalina Island I got a tiny glass bottle, put a message in it and tossed it out to sea...stuff like that.

It really is the thought that counts and I'm sure he'll appreciate whatever you put in there, just because he knows it came from you =D

***Just thought of something else lol....you could also have a note for every day that he'll be away inside the package. Label each one with the date it's to be opened and inside, either put some cute, funny little message, joke, riddle, etc. or you could tell him something you'll be doing on that particular day so he'll be able to think of you doing that activity for that day =D

Forget the magazines or letters. He will be too busy to read a magazine or write a letter. Now you could write him a little letter or poem that he can put into his luggage along with some very special candy. Whatever you give him, make it small as if he is traveling by plane frist, you are so limited by how much you can bring. Maybe slip in some thype of water shoes if he is going to the Caribbean, or Mexico, or Hawaii. Guys never think of bring things like that, but once you cut your feet on some coral, you never forget them after that.

Smiley face band aids ( ie as in plasters for cuts) in case he hurts himself.

Some Sun Tan Lotion, and after sun care. To make sure he has protection.

Little notes with jokes on if you can get to hide them in his suitcase shoes etc, pocket that he will find on his journey, if you give him a magazine put post sticks with comments on the pages.
