Care stereo

Question

I have a 85 chevy s10 pickup, and I want to intall a used pioneer cd player. The player had the black, blue and white conectors and also a smaller conecter with yellow and orange wires I think. Well the pickup's factory stereo had 3 places but there are only two conecters the black and the white, no small cenector. I hooked them into the pioneer stereo and they fit just fine, and the radio antana fit, but I could not get the stereo to turn on. Help me please!!!!!
