Question:

Career Help ??!!?

If i want to be a high school teacher,

do i really need a Higher English,

its just ive not taken English and dont plan to,

because i simply cant do it.

But is it an absolute necessity in teaching ?

  1. You just need to follow the university requirements. In South Australia at least 4 Hess General subjects and 1 Hess Restricted or 5 General. Check the requirements on your universities website of the degree you'd like to do and consult with a careers adviser at your high school. You also need to specialise in at least 3 different lessons to become a teacher.


  2. For most careers if you are pursuing a degree then English is a requirement so if your goal is to become a HS teacher then prepare for it. There are many resources available not to mention tutors that will assist you though your journey.

    When I started college in 98, I was so intimidate by math and failed it the first time but I had my eye on the prize. I took the class again and passed and now I'm working on my PhD.It can be done but you have to want it. Hope this helps!
