Career Interest Quiz?

I'm 21 and statues as a junior in college and I really still have no idea what I want to do. I am interested in a lot of things, but I dont know what I want. I would ultimately like to be a sports broadcaster on ESPN, but I am not a very good writer and I dont want to be a journalist first.I think business would be a good field and I think I would also like to work for myself

You are in a situation many people your age find themselves in.  It is not easy to figure out what you want to do.  The good news is that life is long, and you can switch careers later in life if you choose.  

Do you know what you don't want?  Knowing what you don't want is as important, or possibly more important, as knowing what you do want.  Have you had jobs you hated for one reason or another?  Maybe you don't like working weekends, or getting dirty, or waiting on the public, etc.  

How important is money to you?  Do you want to live a fancy life?  If you need lots of money, here is one thing I know for sure.  You have to make a list of jobs that make gobs of money, and then pick one you are best suited for.  Most jobs make a good/decent salary, but going for millions is something else altogether.  

A degree in business is one of the most versatile things you can do.  It gives you a good background in many things.  Take accounting classes for sure, as you will use them in many aspects of your life.  If you are interested in broadcasting, take some classes in that.  Try and get an internship in that field.  Internships are invaluable for giving you a look at the workplace.  Even if you volunteered somewhere, it would at least give you an idea.  

The one thing you should not do is stop going to college.  Get your 4 year degree.  It is vital.  Even if you don't know what you want, get a 4 year degree in something.  It is a total deal breaker not to have a 4 year degree and be looking for a job.  Trust me.
