Career...Natural Therapy?

Question

Hi, am wanting to do something new atm and was thinking about studying naturopathy or remedial massage etc. Any suggestions on best study methods, australian colleges etc..? Basically looking for a place to start! Any advice would be great...thanks!

In the US naturopaths are trained more or less like regular doctors, with four years of pre-medical courses in college and four years of naturopathic medical school. The web site will give you all of the information about how we do it here. Canada works the same way we do, except that naturopaths are not included in their social insurance scheme, while in the US many private insurance policies cover naturopathic visits.

There are excellent naturopaths in Australia, including a couple of them in Brisbane that have written a very good and widely read book about naturopathy. But I do not know how Australia handles training or licensure or insurance. But I would bet there is a professional association there that can answer all of your questions.
