Question:

Career advice anyone?

I am so unsure of what I should do when I grow up. I am going to be a junior in high school. I am not that grand in math, low B's. All A's in everything else. I love history and english! I love to travel and stay on the go! My biggest fear is failure! A lot of people tell me that I should go into law because of my ability to debate and argue. I do not want to get a degree and fail the bar or not be successful! The only reason I am leaning towards something medical is for job security! Any career advice based on my interests?

  1. You have some major self-confidence issues.  Why is that?  Do you always remember your failures and never your successes.

My career advice is to do the kind of work that you enjoy.  Do not be driven by money, remember, you will be doing this for 40 years.

Fear of failure is normal.  Fear of failure makes a person timid, afraid to take risks.  Taking calculated risks creates the potential for success.  Unless you are a surgeon your mistakes do not die.  Change your word from failure to mistakes.  We all make mistakes.  The key to success is to learn from your failures/mistakes and apply them to future like and similar situations.  This is wisdom.
