  1. Hmmm.. marines is good for young guys coz after they spend time like 2 years in it.. they still have time to study. Im a 27 guy and im just joining the army. And they have job for me that i like which is i feel im so lucky to have.. a linguist. Marines have jobs which are all directed mostly to combats as you see.. hmm math? lol i was gona say Marines have jobs that are related to engineers but ur bf dnt like it.. i like some math like fractions and algebra and stuff but not the deep ones.

If ur bf wants a job in military that can relate to real world... go army.. they have medics, x ray techs, electric stuffs, air controller which gets paid high like up to 80,000 a year in civilian life.. they manage the airplane traffic, Military police.. u can go to a police man career after being an MP. MP is what i like also coz u can get a big chance to stay in US army barracks in US.. theyre the ones who open the gates etc and pretty easy job i believe, truck drivers, cooks, and yeah.. Linguist too. army can teach u other language and u get paid 350$ more in ur check for every language u know. I got one already and im going for another easy one.. prolly Italian or greek.

Best of luck to u both :)

  2. I went into construction and served a 5 year apprenticeship to be a Plumber. Never regretted it.

  3. After 4 years of his military service, as a Marine, he'll have 4 years inactive where they can recall him if needed at anytime. He will also have an easier time applying for a government job. He could go into construction, get a job at the post office, with UPS(i hear they make a pretty good pay) or if you live on the westcoast, like cali a lot of my Marine friends that got out are now working border patrol and or in a correctional facility.

  4. It really depends what his MOS in the Marine Corps is... My boyfriend's original MOS is a financial advisor (I don't know the numbers...) so when he decides to retire from the Marine Corp he'll enter the civilian world as a CPA (Certified Private Accountant).
