ok well i am a carhop for sonic now... im so tired of it. tips suck, the extreme weather is awful and i want a new job so bad. i am actually working my notice out now.

anyway, i am in school for healthcare admin and have finished my first year and i am in my second year.

the problem is i CANNOT FIND A GOOD JOB. i think ive proved that im serious and i am capable of getting a GOOD job. NO ONE will hire me for anything. not hopsitals, not nursing homes. i just feel like a worthless piece of c**p bascially. its like im killimg myself trying to do well for myself but all i can find is ONE MINIMUM wage job. i know im smart but no one is willing to ever give me a chance. i mean, i cant even do LAUNDRY at a nursing home. not being conceited but i KNOW im smart but i just dont know what to do anymore. my life is in shambles.

is there ANY WAY i can convince a HOSPITAL to give me a CHANCE??

  1. Ask your school or instructors for leads. Also try temp agencies that cater to health care.

  2. You may consider getting your accounting clerk certificate.  Accounting clerks make a median salary of ~$38k per year.  This would probably be your best bet for going into an administrative position.  An Adult Ed Program in your area should offer this program this fall.

Be confident, not arrogant when you apply for jobs.  That is a turn off to prospective employers.  Good luck.

  3. First, don't beat yourself up over this - the economy is not in great shape, so you are not alone in looking for a better job.  Finding a good job without experience or education is a difficult task.

You need to find a way to show a potential employer your enthusiasm for the job, and your willingness to work hard.  Do not ever badmouth your current job to a perspective employer, that is a big turn off for a hiring manager, even if they agree with you that your current job sucks.  Find out the name of the person responsible for hiring, and speak to them personally.  You really just need to be persistent.  Do not give up, you will succeed eventually.

    Good Luck to you.
