Career in 'Nature' !!!?

I just wanna work in and around nature!!! What are my options??

(will eco-tourism help!!!...if yes....what type of course should i go for!! hospitality??)

  1. There are many, many options.  It depends on your preferences.

    If you like to work with kids, environmental education might be good.  This is not public school stuff - rather, you typically work for a park or similar organization and lead activities for kids that educate them on the natural world.

    There are many governmental agencies that have a "nature" focus.  The US Fish & Wildlife Service, the National Park Service, NOAA Fisheries, State environmental divisions, etc.  All of these groups have field biologists that spend their time in the field studying various animal species and collecting data.  Or, perhaps working as a park ranger or something similar.

    There are nonprofit groups that also hire scientists to study the natural world.  Groups like the World Wildlife Fund.

    If you are more in tune with the recreation aspects of nature, there are programs at some colleges focused on things like Recreational Management and so forth.
