Career in Finance? with following major?

Hi,

I am currently pursuing undergrad degree in Math/Stats will stay another year to complete second degree in Economics(BA).

What kind of entry level jobs I can apply with following combintaion once I graduate from College (besides teaching) and what can I expect to earn.

Can I work in Financial Firms (in Canada/States) with following combination ?

    I work at a financial services firm, and can assure you that there is a wide variety of jobs.  It's important for you to research and understand the nature of the jobs so that you can pick the one where you are most interested and most likely to be successful.  For example, traders work in a fast paced environment and have to manage risk.  Investment bankers work as a team on deals for long hours at a time.  Compliance specializes in rules and regulations that govern trading practices, and spend time with sales and trading.  Etc.

    Note that, if you are applying for a job straight out of school, the application process is very early.  In the US, firms recruit full time grads in the September before a June graduation (9 months in advance).  Check websites of the firms you are interested in for details.
