Career in Medical Billing

Question

Hello,

can anyone tell me exactly what is involved in the career of medical billing? is it just that you act as a middle man for dr's and insurance companies? or do you actually have to do 'collections' like calling ins co's that are trying not to pay or worse yet, patients that are trying not to pay?

Is it a career that you would suggest to someone who's in collections but wants to get out of that career and into something else? is it stressful? does it all just depend on who you work for?? please help!

its not as stressful as collections especially if you are working for one or 2 doctors offices. You basically code and follow up with insurance companies and sometimes do billing. learn more at PureMedicalJobs.com
