  1. “Most people work just hard enough not to get fired and get paid just enough money not to quit”

  2. us navy diver! serve your country, dont worry about the money, its not about the money, its about america and protecting all of your friends, im planning on being a us navy seal my self. but if u only wana dive, be a navy rescue diver.

  3. depends what u wanna drive...

    taxi...more than 5grand a month

    pizza boy...up to 3Grand a month

    buss driver..up to 4 grand...

    Truck driver...60+grand a year

  4. What you're asking is a little broad in scope. Almost like asking " I'd like to have a career in the transportation industry, what should I do?"

There are a lot of careers in diving. All different. Recreational industry? Commercial? ROV's? Dive Travel? Military? Chamber Technician/ Medic? Those are just a few examples.

If you ask a recreational instructor, he/she will tell you their area is best. Ask a Commercial diver and they'll say theirs is. And so on. Minimum pay? Nothing. Nada, zilch. You're interning, you don't deserve to get paid yet. Maximum pay? Whatever the market will bear in the geographic area you're in. For some areas and occupations ( horizontal penetration of pipe is a good example), it's scale. I know that doesn't answer your question directly, but hey... there's no information provided and pay shouldn't be the #1 reason you're doing it for anyway. Destinations? Could be anywhere, if your nationality allows you to work freely in areas not covered by visa restrictions due to the country you're a citizen of. There's the lack of info to enable me to give you a better answer, again. If you're North Korean, your chances of getting employment working the GOM are next to nil. Same as working the NASA simulator tank if a far off cousin is Bin Ladden ain't in the cards. ( they are hiring currently for that by the way, you only need an advanced recreational cert for dive creds believe it or not)

You might want to sit down, decide your lifestyle and then start eliminating career paths until you've narrowed down what part of the industry you'd like to be part of. Married with a kid on the way? Commercial diver on a platform half way around the planet is probably out but if you have a totally understanding wife maybe not. Local dive instructor for a laid back shop on Maui might make her smile more though. See what I mean?
