Career in theoretical physics ...help m confused..?

ok m from india ..presently in the last year f my high school..jus 6 months left to pass outta high school.. now i wanna be theoretical physicist...but the thing is that its a relli long way till then atleast 10 years.....n for these 10 years ill be practically earning nothing...and this is what dissapoints me...i dunno what to do...so that i do good financially too....n also ive heard even after becoming a theoretical physicist u don get paid much...n this is whats worrying me ...theoretical physics is the only thing that i wanna do ....plz help me...

  1. It's true that becoming a professional physicist, theoretical or experimental, is a long and arduous route, and that you won't get rich. But if you'd rather do that than anything else, bear in mind that you will spend a large proportion of your life working and it's worth a lot to like what you do at work!

    I'm a retired physicist and I had a h**l of a good time over the 40 years or so I worked, researching, teaching, and writing. I still enjoy consulting on a modest scale.
