Career vs. Family - balance vs. choice ?

This question is both for men and women. In today's busy society, where both men and women pursue their own careers - how do you balance this with family life? How important is it to spend time with your significant other vs. spending time advancing your career? Which one would you choose? OR, is it possible to have both and be successful at both: career and family?

I think its possible to be both ( even though i plan to be a stay at home mom) Just plan time to be with family and be home in time for Dinner
