Hi. So basically I really want to have a career in theater or film that isn't acting. Theater has always been what's made me happy. Acting too. I've directed, teched, and acted in 23 plays as of right now. I was just wondering if there was anyone out there that had any advice. I really enjoy many aspects of production. I REALLY enjoy directing, but I don't really think that is going to happen. Are there any careers that are accesible? I was thinking casting or something... Anyways, I am also trying to figure out what to major in to get into this. Help would be appreciated! Thanks!

  1. Your major would either be "Theatre" or "Film studies" or "Drama and Communications"...depending on what college/university you are able to get into.

Most programs will mix onstage and backstage training for theatre or in front of camera/behind the camera work for film.

    Best of luck!
