Carfax report last reported odometer reading??

Question

I was looking at the report of a car that's a 2006 with 33,700 miles. On the carfax report, there's 6 records with the last reported odometer reading at 8 miles. Why is the mile reading so off? I've seen that of a few other cars I've been looking at too.

do not buy a car that has incorrect info .... it could have been in the New Orleans flood or some other fraud ... The incorrect posting is not a true picture of a car that you would care to buy..

They make no claim to have accurate information, and you specifically agree that their not having it is not a cause for you to sue them.
