Caribbean Beach Resort or Caribbean Cruise?

I am taking my first vacation in many years alone. I can't decide whether to book a Cruise or a Resort. I want to relax, but also have some fun. The time I have is 5 days. Any suggestions? My age is in the low 40's and single.
