  1. As  a Canadian citizen, you can take your pick of U.K. islands.  As for wanting a good job and a house on the beach... that may be a bit difficult anywhere in the Caribbean because of the MASSIVE amount of unemployment in the Caribbean.

A couple of years ago I looked at some Tiki Bars on the beach in the D.R. and nearly bought one, so that is a possibility.  You could also work for one of the boat charter businesses... they are always looking for someone that wants to work to replace the ones who don't.

  2. Trinidad and Tobago is the most developed in the English speaking Caribbean, also one of the richest country in the region. Plus there are Canadian school, if you want your son to continue his Canadian education.

You will find more jobs in Trinidad, and Trinidad is very diverse so you would not stand out in the population, being a target.

It also is the most modern country, with high raised building in the capital city, Port of Spain. Most of the other countries in the region base most of their economy on Trinidad.

You will love it there, they call Trinidad "the America of the Caribbean" it is like living in both places. Living in Canada with the fun and great culture of the Caribbean or specifically Trinidad.

  3. Wouldn't everyone like to do that??  But countries all have immigration laws and restrictions on what jobs immigrants can have.  Better check the official websites of countries you're interested in, or check with their embassies, if there is one near you.

    Good luck!

  4. You would not regret relocating to the Bahamas. Many Canadians  already live and work there. I am suggesting that

you begin your inquiries now pertaining to Immigration, jobs, housing, schools etc.

  5. Globally... The World Economic Forum ranked Barbados as 9th in the world in terms of how much of the total Government's budget is spent on Education.
