Caribbean?

I want to take my family (we have 2 11 year olds) to either Antigua or Anguilla, but I don't know which resort to stay at. We want a family-friendly resort, but it doesn't have to have kids menus everywhere and a kids club, as our boys are not interested in those things. Here are the resorts I am considering on Anguilla: Cap Juluca, CuisinArt, and Malliouhana. Here are the resorts I am considering on Antigua: Carlisle Bay, Jumby Bay, The Verandah, St. James's Club, and Curtain Bluff. (I have also heard of The Hermitage and Blue Waters, but they don't seem family friendly). We would like a pretty beach, a nice pool, sailing (hobie cats), kayaking (possibly), good food, tennis, and rooms that are at least decent (We can stay in one room as long as it has 2 beds--double or queen). Which resort(s) do you recommend?

  1. Go to TripAdvisor.com to read comments from past guests.  You could also check out Frommer's and Fodor's websites.

  2. http://www.capjuluca.com/pr092507.asp

  3. My choice for your family would be the St James's Club in Antigua. It's family friendly, it has 4 restaurants, several pools, tennis, water sports.  All the things your family enjoys. The resort is spread out over 100 acres on it's own private peninsula. Here is a link with candid reviews and photos from tourists visiting this resort. Hopefully it will be helpful to you.
