I know my favorite local coffee shop uses fair trade coffee, but it is not open late at night so I headed up to caribou and they had a "fair trade" coffee, but do their other coffees use fair trade coffee?

Or is it just that blend?

(local coffee is much better than caribou, I must say)

  1. Fair trade coffee is really purchased from rural coops at fair prices. It tends to be strictly average coffee because there is no one brand for which anybody is trying to maintain a quality standard. So it is no surprise that Fair Trade coffee, even though it costs a lot, really doesn't taste that great.

  2. I would not assume that any coffee is fair trade unless it is marked as such.   But, you can always ask them to be sure.
