4 years ago my family bought a house. when we were settling in, we found a turtle (i think it's a red eared slider), and we decided to keep it (instead of throwing him into the wild).
it was quite big, so i assumed that he was not a baby.
we fed him lettuce 4 times a week, but i know that wasnt enough. nobody really cared for it, but recently, my kitten found the turtle, and my kitten just sat with it all day. of course the turtle has always been shy and never came out of his shell. so i felt some sympathy for the poor turtle and tried to give him the love he never had.
my cat and i are being really friendly but the turtle is ignoring us? how can we be friends (so he isnt scared of us), and how should i feed him (what type of food is best, what quantity, and how can i get him to actually eat it - hes too shy..) also, i want to know if there is anything else i should be doing to make the turtle feel at home etc., (i know he's lived here for 4 years, but hes scared of everything!)
